Job Brief:
SMARTIDIOM is recruiting a new Project Manager to the company’s office in Leiria.

 

General Profile:

Mandatory requirements

– Academic qualifications in Translation, Applied Languages, and/or similar areas;
– Native fluency in the main target language (European Portuguese);
– High proficiency in the main source language (English, US and/or UK);
– Advanced knowledge of CAT Tools, such as SDL Trados Studio, Wordfast, Idiom WorldServer and/or MemoQ;
– Good writing skills;
– Strong sense of responsibility, organisation and attention to detail;
– Focus and strong management and leadership skills;
– Full commitment to delivery deadlines;
– Result oriented profile.

Preferential requirements

– Minimum experience of 1 year in an equivalent field;
– Knowledge of other languages: Spanish, French and/or German;
– Immediate availability.

 

Main responsibilities:

– Analyse the feasibility of the projects and respective quotes;
– Manage all the projects to you assigned, according to the Management System procedures;
– Assure the execution of all processing tasks prior to the translation, of the projects to be managed;
– Assure the effective and efficient communication with all the parties involved in the projects to be managed;
– Assure that all the resources involved in the projects comply with the projects’ specifications;
– Assure that the delivery to the client is carried out according to the original instructions of said client;
– Undergo a final check of all the projects managed by you, with the help of automated quality control tools;
– Maintain the records of the projects you manage up to date;
– Register and report to the Quality Manager all non-conformities detected, and complaints received;
– Manage all the information in an efficient manner (documents, files, translation memories, glossaries, instructions, etc.);
– Collaborate in the evaluation of the employees and suppliers in terms of performance;
– Lead, for instance, the teams you work with.

The selection process will go through 4 stages:
– CV analysis;
– Translation test;
– Interview (HR department);
– Final interview (Management).

 

Observation: The candidates that pass the first stage will be required to take a Translation Test in order to evaluate their skills. SMARTIDIOM will require a digital copy of a stamped certificate of qualifications or any other type of document that indicates full completion of academic and/or professional studies related to Translation.
